Summary
Wattcue does not run analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking on this website. We use one essential preference value to remember that you have acknowledged our cookie notice.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, consent is only required for non-essential cookies. We do not set any, so no consent is collected beyond dismissing the notice.
What is stored on your device
A single value is stored in your browser's local storage to keep the cookie notice from showing on every page. That's it.
- wattcue.cookie-consent.v1 is a localStorage value, kept for up to 12 months. It records that you dismissed the cookie notice and holds no personal data.
- Standard browser session storage used by Next.js for navigation. These are first-party, expire when you close the tab, and do not profile you.
No analytics, no advertising
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, or any other analytics, advertising, or heatmap tool on this site. We do not embed third-party pixels. We will re-prompt for consent before introducing any non-essential cookies.
Embedded content
Pages on this site may include images served from third-party image CDNs (for example Unsplash for editorial photography). These requests carry standard HTTP metadata such as your IP and user agent, which those providers may log. We do not share additional data with them and we do not place cookies on your device through those requests.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. The exact controls differ by browser; search your browser's help for 'clear site data' or 'manage cookies'. Clearing the Wattcue entry will make the cookie notice appear again on your next visit, which is the expected behaviour.
Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will re-prompt you for consent and update this page. The 'last updated' date at the top of the page is the best indicator of when anything changed.
